Sigh of relief

The Pittsburgh situation seems to be resolved.

A friend from home (that is, Bucks County) will be driving to State College on Friday, October 17, picking me up, driving the rest of the way to Pittsburgh, hanging out with me there for a couple days, possibly joining me at the show, then driving me back to State College on Sunday and then back to his house in Holland.

As you can probably imagine, I'm pretty damn thankful, and I've told him as much. He says he doesn't mind and had been meaning to get to Pittsburgh at some point to visit all his UPitt friends before they graduated, but I'll still be looking for some way to repay the favor.

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked about this. There will be a solid ten E6ers at this show (possibly more), and I have word from one of them that at least a few will be cool with talking to me.

The sum of all these events (a show with a bunch of Elephant Six folks coming to Pittsburgh on a Saturday, a friend in Pittsburgh willing to put me up for a night or two and a friend from the complete other side of the state willing to drive me both ways) is by far the biggest break I've gotten so far in this project, and it's one that should really get the ball rolling.

It's at this point that I finally feel like this thing is underway.
